In addition to playing with Greater Binghamton this year in the National & Region 1 Champions League, I was recently given the opportunity to play on Match Fit Academy’s ECNL team. The ECNL (Elite Club National League) is a national youth soccer league founded in 2009 for the purpose of providing the highest level of competition and the best developmental environment for American female youth soccer players, as well as an identification program for identifying players for US Soccer Youth National Teams. In fact, one of my new teammates is in CA right now at a U15 US National Camp. I will work hard this year to hopefully earn the same chance! MFA is a top Northeast academy and being able to play for them will help get me closer to my goals.
This past weekend MFA participated in the 2015 FC Stars Cup in Lancaster, MA. We went 1-1-1 for the weekend. This was the first time this team competed together, so this weekend’s goal was to help determine positions and prepare for the start of the ECNL fall season in two weeks.
This was also the third time I’ve been shut out by South Shore. I really need to get out of this scoring slump next time I play them!
It was nice getting to know my teammates better and I’m looking forward to a successful year with my new team and coaches!
